It’s the coldest month of the year for us here in Aberdeen, South Dakota. With little want to go outside, you may find yourself googling, “indoor fun near me” or “indoor family fun” just to find something, anything to get you out of the house! Well, look no further. There’s no shortage of fun activities to join in on at Allevity. Our arcade alone features a variety of arcade games perfect for all ages, but there’s so much more. From indoor laser tag and axe throwing to our mini bowling alley and spinning bumper cars, you set the pace of your family-fun day out! Indoor Entertainment for the Littles (Ages 3-5 years)
Thaw out from the winter weather and work up a sweat in Allevity’s Ballocity Children’s Playground. Blasters, buckets, and cannons propel thousands of soft foam balls throughout the entire play area, which features multi-level platforms with various fun and exciting activities spread throughout, providing a fun space for the whole family to explore. If your little one is under 3 years of age, that’s okay too, so long as there is direct parent supervision. Are you up for the climb mom and dad?
If not, no problem. The mini bowling alley is suitable for all ages! Mini Bowling is a new twist on an old game that is great for players of skill levels. Allevity’s four mini bowling lanes are complete with colorful lights, automated bumpers, and lightweight bowling balls. Gather round with your friends and family, pick your ball, and aim for a strike!
Or bump around in the Spin Zone on our bumper cars! We call it the Spin Zone because these cars are designed to give riders a whirling, twirling experience like no other. This new element is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat once you’ve entered. Must be 5 years old to drive, but 3-4 years old can ride as passengers with an accompanying adult.
Indoor Entertainment for the Bigs (Ages 6-16 years)
Six years old, and beyond really, is the magic number for almost all our attractions (minus axe throwing, but we’ll get to that later). Any climbers in the family?
Warm up quickly and get your blood pumping on our interactive climbing wall with routes for beginners AND pros. It features varying heights of climbing fun for guests of all ages, as well as different challenges and objectives for those looking for a little competition with friends to race or practice their climbing skills! We rank this for ages 6 and up, but younger children can play with parental supervision.
Arguably our most entertaining indoor family fun is Allevity’s Laser Tag Arena! Featuring over 3000 square feet of non-stop indoor family fun, this massive arena allows for up to 24 players to play at once on one of 3 teams. Challenge your family and friends to a game and weave your way through the maze of walls and obstacles. Do you have what it takes to help bring your team to victory?

For those looking for a KID-FREE night out of the cold, check out our specials for upcoming events! Did you know that the Allevity Café serves beer and wine? Relax with a cool adult beverage at our 21+ section, and you can also take a break and enjoy a meal or snack.
We’ll be hosting our FIRST ever 21+ event this month on January 20 from 8 PM-midnight. Allevity’s Fun After Dark will be for adults only with unlimited attractions, unlimited arcade games, one free drink ticket for beer or wine, and discounted drinks and food throughout most of the evening. Admission is 24.99+ tax for those who pre-register and $29.99 at the door.
