Spring Exercise Ideas for Kids

With the constant weather changes in the spring, it’s hard to plan activities for your kids that aren’t outside. Parents want kids to just be able to go outside, get some exercise and play, but yet another snowstorm hits the Aberdeen area. What do you do now? Go to Google of course and search “kids activities near me.”

However, instead of scrolling through pages and pages of potential places to go, what if we said you could skip the Google search all together. Guess what? You can! Allevity is the perfect indoor entertainment center, and the solution for the parents trying to get their kid to get some exercise in!

Allevity Entertainment is our 20,000 square feet facility that houses several attractions for people and families of all ages to enjoy. Exercising doesn’t have to be just outdoor activities, at Allevity our attractions are all indoors -- perfect for those crazy snowy days! Attractions include laser tag, mini-bowling, virtual reality, bumper cars, kids rock climbing, arcade and an indoor playground.

Laser Tag

Allevity’s Laser Tag arena features over 3,000 square feet of mazes and obstacles for the ultimate game of laser tag! Laser tag is not only a great cardio exercise as you run from opponents, but it also works out the mind as you constantly dodge getting hit with the laser. All of this running, ducking and sometimes even jumping will definitely have the kids tuckered out by the end of a game or two. This massive arena allows for up to 24 players to play at once on one of 3 teams – nowhere is safe with this high intensity attraction.

Mini Bowling

Strap on those bowling shoes and let’s see some strikes! Allevity’s mini bowling is a fun twist on the game that everyone knows and loves and is for all ages to enjoy. Our 4 mini bowling lanes are equipped with lights, automated bumpers and light-weight bowling balls – perfect for the real little kiddos too! Bowling improves your hand-eye coordination, balance, core and metabolism with every shot you take without you even realizing it. Even though it is a mini version, it actually might be more of a challenge with smaller bowling balls AND pins!

Interactive Climbing Wall

Allevity’s interactive rock climbing wall offers routes for everyone from beginners to pros. Rock climbing is a full-body exercise that involves every part of the body including the legs, arms, core and even hand muscles. Kids will be strengthening their muscles, developing flexibility and increasing their endurance with our rock wall without even realizing it! The wall features various heights for climbers of all ages and skill levels. You can go head-to-head and challenge your friends and family, or just practice climbing on your own! Put your climbing skills to the test and see if you can be one of our highest scorers and make the scoreboard!

Ballocity Indoor Children’s Playground

Playgrounds are a great and easy way to have your kids get the exercise they need to stay healthy as they are designed to improve strength, balance and agility. Our indoor children’s playground allows kids to meet some friends, run around and climb up the multi-level platform with various fun activities and obstacles spread throughout. At Ballocity, kids can also dodge, jump and duck away from soft foam balls propelled throughout the entire play area from blasters, buckets and cannons.

If you’re looking for spring exercise ideas for kids, an indoor entertainment center may not be your first thought. However, not only is Allevity a great option for indoor exercise, especially on those snowy and rainy days, the whole family is able to join in on all the fun too!
